What is a Green Revolving Fund?
A Green Revolving Fund (GRF) is a financial account set aside specifically for sustainability investments. Greener infrastructure saves money, and that money can be reinvested back into the GRF to be used for future sustainability projects.

San Diego Mesa College GRF Mission Statements
- To ensure that sustainability is prioritized on our campus and in our district, by helping administration adopt sustainable practices and encouraging faculty to teach sustainable solutions and practices to the Mesa College community and beyond.
- To provide both funding and a vehicle for both student-led and administration-led campus sustainability projects.
- To provide spaces, resources, and events in which students can learn how to directly lower their carbon footprint.
- To help faculty fill in educational gaps in existing curriculums, especially gaps in environmental education related to the structural issues behind climate collapse.
- To identify and address the structural issues behind climate collapse.
- To empower students by acting as an intermediary for their environmental concerns, and work to build coalitions between the administration and the student body dedicated to reducing the campus carbon footprint.
